WE ARE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS TO HELP OUT WITH EVERYTHING FROM SMOKING BRISKET, SERVING FOOD, CLEANING UP, OR ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO DO! PLEASE REACH OUT TO GET INVOLVED – WEAREFORESTCOVE@GMAIL.COM

Our next planning meeting will be on Tuesday, June 25th, at 7:30pm at the Firehouse.  We will go through the task list for updates and discuss if we want to provide meal perks for volunteers.  We will also firm up the list for our last work days before the event.

We are looking for leads for the following activities – Decorations & Dessert Contest.  Please let me know if you can help in any of these areas or know someone that would be interested.  The attached sheet shows more details on the categories.  We have also planned the following work days in preparation – 5/18, 6/29, and 6/30.  Damian Pool will be coordinating the work day activities.

  • 9 AM Parade Lineup on Marina Drive – Sign up on the spot
  • Parade starts at 10 am

Best of Theme

Best Bike

Best Golf Cart

  • Brisket 12-2ish – Brisket, Sides, etc, is FREE for FC Residents ($10 / adult and $5 / child for guest)

Desert Contest Entries Turn in before Noon – $5 / entry

Three categories to be judged on taste, presentation, & embodiment of theme –

First and foremost, please allow me to introduce myself. I am David Claunch. I was elected President of the Fairway Forest Townhome Association back in December 2023. I own Unit 301. I teach high school at Archway Academy, a recovery high school in the Medical District of Houston. I am honored to serve as your President. The Board has been monitoring and investigating several matters. We have scheduled an open board meeting to discuss the items on the attached agenda.
